But we don’t want this just to apply to history, we want it to build on that tradition – today!

YWAM York Team
YWAM York is committed to seeing individuals and communities in York experience the love of God through discipleship, intercession and evangelism.
In addition we have are seeking transformation in urban locations in the UK and Europe by training and equipping people to start new community development teams.
Community
We aim to mentor trainees and staff through a community that models the YWAM values in a way that is accessible to young post-moderns.
Training
We offer training in the areas of discipleship, leadership development, community development, intercession and worship .We reinforce class room teaching with practical ministry experience.
Grass roots ministry
Serving Communities
We are developing new ministries in partnership with St Barnabas church (in the Leeman road area), serving the needs of youth, children, their families, and the elderly. At the same time we are continuing to partner with a number of grass root ministries in the wider city. These offer a variety of practical experience for team members as well as providing staff for these ministries.
Local Church
We continue to build relationships with the churches in York, helping them to engage in mission both in the city and overseas. We offer training and resources in the areas of leadership development, discipleship and short term missions.
Multiplication
In the future we aspire to plant new teams and ministries around the UK and Europe
